It does affect them being relegated. Newcastle get new owners mid season, bottom of the PL, spent 100ml and stayed up. They hadn't won a game before the takeover.

Not sure we had that many complaining when Usmanov was ploughing money into us.

We have also just been celebrating man city beating Liverpool to the league.
 

The game of Football is all but gone, isn't it?

Won't be long before it's being described as entertainment rather than sport. With the winners determined before hand, the game all about the spectacle. As the investors get what they paid for

All the while the fans clap like happy seals because they have won/will win something.

To any Newcastle fan reading this; what price, the soul of Football?

They don’t give a toss about the soul of football. They are the same as the tricky reds, as long as they can have a bit of reflective glory and shout in other people’s faces they really don’t care about the integrity of the sport being compromised. They are the worst group of fans in sport in my opinion, I genuinely and wholeheartedly hate them more than Liverpool.

Sadly I think you're right. Add United and Chelsea to that list too. City fans, I feel, are not there yet. I still get the impression a lot of them are just riding the up for now. Let's see what happens if they stop winning for a couple of seasons.
