Don’t think they need to.

All they have to do is continuously grow. They’ve seen our example, and how not to operate, in a knee jerk fashion.

Some really smart pieces iver the course of a few windows and they’ll get better a lot quicker.

If Howe flops this winter then absolutely, but feels like they’ve got a good balance there.

Thats what they seem to be doing tbf. I think everyone expected them to go mental in the window and its just not happened (they have seen the likes of us) also having someone like Dan Ashworth there can only be a good thing.

Just think instead of loading themselves with a load of expensive flops on long term deals they can sign players now who fit their mould.

Signings this year too. Botman (22), Targett (26) and Pope (30, but a GK) added to Guimaraes (24). They’ve done what we failed to do and signed players who can impact them for a number of years positively.

Few other fillers like Trippier who will do short term. Just been really good business… where once again, I’m left even further frustrated by our failures
