Great overall performance with everyone showing up. Special mention to Osman, Deulofeu, and McCarthy. Another big three points.

I just wanted to come back and post something about John Stones in this game.

I am so impressed with his play, and almost more importantly, his heart. I've just watched the game, and to see him go down and then trot back out after a couple minutes like a warrior was amazing. That is the kind of heart and determination and love for the sport that I love to see in my sports. It is something that happens fairly routinely in some other sports, but it seems few and far between in this one.

Regardless though, that performance was awesome.

Reading back through this thread was great fun. I really hope us and City win to set up the biggest game of our season vs. Arsenal next week. Will be some atmosphere, the likes of which Goodison has been missing for a long time

probert really could have cost us 4th with that bottling just now btw, every point is crucial. with arsenal's run-in i'd still say it's very very unlikely. but if any team can implode from such a situation, arsenal are that team
Arsenal have had biased reffing decisions all year. They really have.

A fair part of my family prefers rugby to football and their argument to why it is better is always "when a rugby player gets cut, he gets stitches on the side and then comes straight back on. When a footballer gets cut, he goes to A&E"

Basically, Stones is solid.
