I said this when they bought Gyan; £13 million!?!?!?!

I didn't buy the hype during the world cup. THought he looked decent, but it was just a team effort that got Ghana so far. He was just the one banging them in and taking the glory. Boateng was their real star, if you ask me. Either way, £13 million is what you pay for a proven premier league player, not someone with a decent record in much worse leagues.

He scored one? goal in open play. There were arguably 4-5 Ghanian players better than him on that squad. Hopefully this signing doesn't take presidence because if we are going by WC performances than Donovan is worth 100M and Forlan is worth more than Exxon/Mobil.

Just read that the 5-1 victory maybe saved Hughton's job. He would have been one of the last managers I would suspect was in jeopardy of being sacked. They just aren't satisfied by competence are they?
