Ashley Williams has hung up his boots, then.

There’s no sugar coating the fact that he was proper bum for us, but I don’t think it was always for a lack of trying, he just wasn’t good enough.

I was personally made up when he signed - I thought it was a great deal to get the money we did for Stones and then get this lad in on the relative cheap.

As it turns out, I think he kind of epitomises that period in our (embarrassingly recent) history, when it comes to transfer activity and style of play.

History is what he is, mind, and I wish the big fella luck in whatever he does next. Just pls don’t give him a job, Bill.

tbf he wasn't too bad in his first season when we finished 7th. Nothing spectacular but was consistent.

2nd season though he was bloody dreadful.

Probably a fair point; my overarching thought when it came to him was that he was never the colossus he looked when he was at Swansea. Even when he was decent he wasn’t the authoritative monster that we were crying out for, clearing out everything and everyone in his path.

Yeah deffo, it was almost like him and Jagielka didn't want to step on each others toes and be the vocal one.

Don’t know if already mentioned, Ashley Williams has announced his retirement
36 y o, stil makes me feel ill when I think about him.

Many would argue he retired from Football the moment he signed for us.
