Which was madness. One good game then handed him a long contract. And it looks like we can’t get rid of him. Perm to Boro or Fulham then walk away in the last minute right?

Strange hes not stayed at Valadolid..

Apparently they wanted to keep him and he had dropped his wages for the previous loan + extension

Expected us to just extend it another season so he would have been out the door.

I think I read the other week that most Spanish clubs are screwed financially due to impact of pandemic.

They sold Salisu to southampton.

I imagine we could have negotiated something there and he'd have been the alternative to Gabriel...after a season we sell on.

Should be some kind of creativity used to move players on...seems a bit flat.

He had a good month to be fair, got our player of the month award. Barely played since as he got injured shortly afterwards and never managed to get back into the squad.

In the last year of his contract. Hope we at least get our money back but looks unlikely at this stage.

Totally agree. Think Salisu a very good player. We definitely should have used Sandro to make a bid for him.
