Well I believe in scientific fact. If I was to say that Jesus was married and had a child, would that do me any favours amongst those people brainwashed by the most corrupt organisation, The Catholic Church?

I also believe in freedom of choice and freedom of speech. The same way some guy can come around to my house wearing an I Heart Jesus badge and trying to preach to me, and then verbally attack me for not believing in faith.

Well I'm sorry, but I believe in what is scientific fact, what has been proven. There is no evidence whatsoever about any miracles, its just been developed over time by a corrupt organisation that try's to put fear into those who don't believe.

I believe there was a Jesus, but I don't think he turned water into wine. I think the world would be miles better off if we had no religion, because you name me a conflict that does not have any kind of religious undercurrent.
 
Just quietly, I don't think any of us are going to significantly change anyone's opinion on religious / political matters via an online forum... of course, it could happen.
 
Fair enough, I just know how sensitive people can be on things like team selection, so religion and world view can be downright dangerous to talk about.

That's why it's called "faith."

The problem with science is that science cannot prove or disprove everything.

I see where your coming from Ghost and am not looking to "change your opinion" or anything like that but I'm sure we'll agree to disagree on the subject.
 
TX Bill, your integrity and respect is very much appreciated. Unfortunately some are not so understanding.

I was brought up RC, but at the end of the day I believe in scientific fact and I truly believe that facts have been distorted along the way. Can't put much past the Vatican.

But I do understand that many people believe and I am not going to change people's minds. I just don't believe in the Bible as a sacred document.

I actually believe there has been discoveries but the truth has been covered up to protect an incredible revenue stream that the Catholic Church has created.
