Don’t know if he’s been mentioned but I’d have Unai Emery as in with a chance come summer. While he’s doing a good job at PSG he’s apparently at odds with Neymar and they want Conte in . For clubs like PSG even winning the Champions League may not be enough. Timing will be the key, if he’s replaced and out of a job he may fancy coming to us but if Simeone moves on too Emery may prefer a move back to Spain.

How about Big Sam with Unsie and Stubbsy as his assistants? He could teach them a few tricks for the future.
What could possibly go wrong?

If we do appoint David Unsworth or Sam Allyrdyce to the role as manager neither will really be regarded as long term appointments...at least at the beginning.

We need to sign some players in January, chiefly a striker, but will funds be given to buy a player when the manager who signs may not be around very long and which players will be happy to come in those circumstances?

Why is it that the suggestion of unsworth not being good enough is met with excuses and justifications for the poor results by some?

If a new manager came in and did the exact same results he would be labelled as being not good enough.
