It's a part of the so-called "Hajduk Curse". Around 20 clubs that have played against Hajduk Split, a football club from Croatia, have been relegated in the span of x years. Mind you, there were some respectable clubs.

For instance, Malmo played against Hajduk in 98 and 99, soon after they were relegated for the first time in 63 years. Fiorentina defeated Hajduk in 1999, two years later they were relegated, went bankrupt, ended up in the fourth division. Some other clubs even don't exist anymore - Dunaferr, or Unirea Urziceni. Unirea had even played in the Champions League a season or two before playing against Hajduk, and now they are a part of history.

List of clubs that have experienced the curse, by being relegated, losing a title in a particularly excruciating way, or even ceasing to exist: Torpedo Moscow, Malmo, Schalke, Fiorentina, Levski Sofia, Dunaferr, Ferencvaros, Mallorca, Fulham, Haka Valkeakoski, Grasshopper, Roma, Shelbourne, Sampdoria, Deportivo, Dinamo Bucurest, Unirea, AEK Athens, Skonto Riga, Shakhtar Karagandy, and now Dnipro.

I may have missed some, some have managed to avoid the curse (Stoke City, for instance), but it's an interesting phenomenon for us Hajduk fans.

Don't shoot the messenger, and i can't vouch for its validity, but if true, WOW.

I am not been funny but what difference would saying who the new so called boss is in a day or 2 make, doubt if someone said person X is the new boss tuesday that the deal would be off for that person just because someone knew about it,doubt men in charge etc would even know its been put on some forums etc,and even if it was, they would see other forum memebers dismissing the info etc

Like I said, the Future is Bright.

For those that seem totally obsessed by bookmakers and odds, I would keep a good look out for a significant odds change tomorrow evening.

There won't be any huge shock with who the new manager is.

Suppose if you spout enough rubbish you're bound to right at least once. Worst ITK I've seen on here haha

Hope that misfortune dodges us!

Hey Blues

We are the People's club.

Why don't we all chip in and manager the Toffees?

NSNO

CYOB
I agree. What we need is for all ticket holders to run the club as an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We can take turns to act as sort of executive officer for the week, but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely matchday squad or tactical affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of major transfer dealings.

Just say who you think it is. We all know you are clueless, just give up FFS

He's started sounding like one of those cheap horoscopes you see in a tatty magazine, covering all bases.

It can't be beyond the realms of possibility that another defeat tomorrow will get people flocking to bet on the relegation survival specialists.

They've all been mentioned heavily recently, and hey presto if one of them has his odds come in dramatically as is probably very likely indeed and is appointed, just how startlingly accurate this not particularly astute forecast will seem.

Well done to the lad lol

Whilst you all give him attention - he will keep posting inane rubbish. Feeding the troll just makes it worse. Ignore him and he will go away, it really is rather simple.

You who answer him feed his illusions of grandeur

I agree but I feel sorry for the attention whore. It must be a sad life to have to come on a site and lie about knowing stuff when you don’t.

You know what to stop this speculation I will manage us. I have no experience apart from running a desk in work (I work in recruitment) I have one lad who works under me and I manage quite well. I do it for a relatively small pay packet per month. That has got to make me a front runner surely?
Joking aside we are going to end up with some absolute joke to make us look worse then we already do you can just see it now. I’ve had money on AVB but it’s not a lot so not really bothered too much. I want a World class manager but never going to happen in the position we are in. As long as it’s not dyche, fat sam, pulis,Oneil or Moyes I’m a little happier. Any of them and I will burn my shirt and stop supporting us. Already get laughed at enough

Notice themole said "the Future is Bright", oddly capitalizing both words. Its a hint at who the manager is.

Frank de Boer is the only one on the list with the initials FB. But he also said there wont be any huge shock, so that would seem to imply someone mentioned multiple times before like Allardyce, Silva, Dyche. Unless hes referring to the fact that Frank de Boer was involved in our last search.

But maybes "Bright" is for "Brighton", so its Chris Hughton?

Confirmed.
