De Boer has at least declared publicly that he would like the job unlike Mourinho who is hedging his bets until July. I just think it's a risk waiting until then only to be told "no thanks" - if De Boer goes elsewhere (and Koeman commits to Southampton by then), our options become ever slimmer.
