Our fossorial friend is correct in that it now seems Koeman has only eyes on a bigger prize than us beyond next season.

However as I mentioned on Tuesday evening matters elsewhere have been developing and this emerging candidate would be almost universally popular. He is also consistent with the "if the preferred candidate was out of contract we would have announced it by now" theory discussed yesterday.

So Koeman is dead, long live the emerging candidate?

I hate to be the voice of reason right now. I so much want to believe and would worship Moshiri as a God if he landed a big fish like Emmery.
But I have to point out that this is the third time that expectations have been greatly elevated. First for Mourinho then for Koeman both of whom now seem to have turned us down. Fingers crossed it's not gonna be a hat-trick.
