Firstly I don't get the Harry Redknapp argument. If he'd won one FA Cup in his entire career I'd say fair enough but winning multiple cup competitions in different countries suggests it isn't a one off.

Yes in Italy Juve were relegated and teams were deducted points but that affected one season. He won the league 3 years in a row. Those second and third league wins everyone started on the same points. Pretty mental how you can turn winning Serie A 3 years in a row into a negative.

At City he had money to spend but money doesn't automatically equal success. He had a job to do and he did it. The season before he took over they finished 10th so it wasn't like they were Champions League regulars.

Also on your last point, saying we want someone who can deliver more than an FA Cup we haven't won a trophy for 21 years. We have no business turning our noses up at the FA Cup.
The Italian league point mate is that he literally had no competition to win the league. Up until then inter were not title contenders, and roma were and still aren't winning titles. And over that time Juve had to rebuild from the second division, Milan took a massive hit on players also.

The city one was all out football which to be fair worked for everyone that has played it. Liverpool almost won the league, Blackpool almost stayed up with their terrible defence and city had bought like 5 to 6 world class players at the same time of doing it.

But again not a massive achievement in terms of him being a good manager. Is a real Madrid manager good if they spend 200 million on world class players and then win the top Trophies? Same principle. If mancini can win a title by signing world class players for massive money only or by having no competition, do you think he can take a mid table team and build them the same way someone else could?

Gameiro is what, 29? Could we not get younger but on a similar level?

He runs his heart out like, fans would love that.

We say this like Emery is nailed on. Hopefully it is obviously. I have no doubt he'd be able to attract big names obviously if he comes.
You only need to buy young if your tramsfer strategy is dependent on making a profit on your players. Which it was, but now is not. Good to get some experience in.

It's completely fine to have doubts about him, I can understand the preference to Emery over him and the reservations about how he would take Everton forward.

But you don't have to all-out discredit those achievements - the premier league isn't worth anymore one year because it's ultra competitive - if someone trounces it then you can't really detract from their achievement (this year; case in point).

I'm not discrediting them, I'm merely pointing out that by him doing threat does not make him a good enough manager. I have been saying for years about him so not doing the whole not good enough for everton bit.

It's the same as taking o Neil, Delia, lennon and saying because they are title winning managers it must make them good. Hell Delia alone won without any competition and was still deemed not good enough.

Personally I'd welcome Pellegrini, De Boer or any of them here. Just would be very reserved about mancini. Almost as much as Moyes coming back
