There is one really worthwhile post, sheds a whole lot light on this situation but I can't remember which page it's on. Better get comfy and read the lot. It'll be worth it trust me.30 odd pages since I read this thread, is it worth reading or same old rubbish?
See above - I would expect any manager we appoint therefore to be 1/8 for a week or more prior to appointment.Because the money has gone on him and the press reports have him as a shoo in
Cannot believe we haven't made an appointment yet. Mediocrity from Kenwright rolling over into the new regime it appears. Every day that passes by is a lost day in terms of missing out on transfer targets. If it was an out-of-contract manager (Pellegrini) it'd be sorted now, so he can't be it. Koeman appears to have pledged his immediate future to Southampton, so he's out. Mourihno and Simeone are out of our league (sad but true), and Emery will possibly go to Atletico if Simeone heads off to Inter. Does that leave us with Mancini? Are we sniffing around ready to pick up whoever is left over once the managerial merry go round is over? Seriously can't believe how long it's taking. Questions need to be asked.
Ok but even the villa market has a clear odds on favourite: RDM at 1/7. React to the market yes but even then if something is imminent those in the know tend to pile in. I would expect the eventual manager to be 1/8 for at least a week prior to appointment
I agree but with agents lawyers etc at work I would expect any appointment to be 1/8 for at least a week prior to appointmentBookies are risk managers. They just react to the money being placed to protect their exposure. They don't know what's going on. It's very, very simple.
True. We must hope he does his decision before Euro2016 thoughPeople should calm down,It's Moshs first big decision so let him take his time to get the right man.

Not worried yet. Hope to have the new manager in before the start of Euro 2016. Think with Everton taking the time in making an appointment indicates we're aiming high. If we wanted someone like Moyes it would have been done within a week.Cannot believe we haven't made an appointment yet. Mediocrity from Kenwright rolling over into the new regime it appears. Mate I've watched manager markets before. The eventual managers ALWAYS go massively odds on a week or 2 prior to appointmentWhy? What have agents and lawyers got to do with bookies?

He over played his hand the other day we believe. Been waiting to see what might happen.
