Below is what Monchi was saying last week and what's being reported today. Quiet a change. Looks like he's off to Utd which is great for us as it increases instability at Sevilla and our odds of landing Emmery. Come on Moshiri!

"But Sevilla's sporting director Monchihas insisted that Emery will remain at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, when asked about other stories suggesting he could be in line for the AC Milan job.

“He has renewed with Sevilla, even before the Europa League Final,” he toldCalciomercato.com.

“What if Milan were to pay a release clause? He will not go to Milan. He will definitely stay at Sevilla.”"

"Manchester United have put a ‘dizzying’ offer on the table for Monchi as he plans to step down as director of football at Sevilla, according to reports in Spain.

The work of Monchi has been attributed as one of the reasons for Sevilla’s success in recent seasons and it has not gone unnoticed by Jose Mourinho.

AS say Mourinho, who took over as United boss last week, is keen for the 47-year-old to join him at Old Trafford ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

It’s understood Monchi has already informed Sevilla’s council that he desires a move and is desperate to take on new challenges in the immediate future.

The former goalkeeper has been in the role at Sevilla since 2000 but is now looks a certainty to part ways with the La Liga club."

Huge statement of content if we got both Emery or Monchi ... However could Emery or Koeman or Mancini ( still think he is in the race ) work with a DOF ( Overmars ) ... With David Dein allegedly coming to the club surely Overmars is a shoe in for that role ? Or could negotiations if they took place with Emery at the weekend could one of the conditions that they come to goodison as a pact ??? I've said this on a Facebook site I help run " the days of plucky Littke Everton or us punching above our weight is over "... The mosh has arrived

Emery would be great, but Monchi is a huge part of his success. Both would have been great, it's not great if he's off to Utd, Emery to us or not.

David Dein...Monchi...Emery...

Lads, it's our year.

Um. This makes me think we're getting neither of them.
