Old school Everton, sixties style ;)

Exactly.

Private business till concluded, then WHAM....right on the nose of the doubting Thomas's and the gutter press.

The Mersey Millionaires, are on their way back.....
de de de de de de
Mr Moshiri had a dream
To nick Sevilla's team
he had loads of money
So bought the DoF in as well
No more crap at the back
Or slow in attackkkkkkkkkk
the Mersey Millionaires
Are on their way back

I believe it you know. I think our new manager will be Koeman, even if we get Monchi. @theesk has been saying we will get a DOF regardless, and none of these Spanish articles even mention the notion of Emery leaving, just that we are giving Monchi control and he will work with our new manager. Then you factor in Koeman still hasn't signed that contract and I think he is still our first choice (a mistake in my mind), and he has obviously been giving us favourable noises for us to still be pressing for his signature.
I'll be surprised, everything pointing to Emery. He's got a great relationship with Monchi and if he's leaving because of Sevilla's lack of ambition you can bet Emery will be following him out the door. After the way Koeman's acted why would you go back to him when you've got a far superior manager available?

That article says he is surprised that Monchi left, but that it won't change his approach in going to the new season, as he has resisted us all summer. If he is surprised, that means this isn't a double swoop on Sevilla where he has asked for Monchi as part of the deal, there is no deal. I think we will have Koeman as manager and Monchi as DOF.

I agree I don't understand why Koeman was number one choice in the first place
