For what it's worth, after Man City got minted it took them a season and a half to get shut of Mark Hughes. Then they replaced him with Mancini, who was successful at Inter but hadn't managed for 18 months and had been sacked for being a nutter.

These things take time to ramp up. I was hoping for Emery, but if Koeman was Moshiri's first choice and he was the best available candidate then job done.

Realistically, yes, we finished 11th two seasons running. Emery is the other one, but I imagine we may well be seeing him at Milan this coming season (if not then it'll be Pellegrini).

Koeman is a proven quality manager in this league and the one Moshiri identified from the start was the one to stabilise the club and start us back in the right direction.

I don't know what people expect?
