I know you share bits of info when you have them lad, but come on, don't take the ribbing personally. It's an internet forum, brush it off. If people get a reaction out of you, they'll carry on - same with any other 'itk' (for lack of a better term). And some members seem to come on and get so defensive about it it's crazy.

It doesn't happen with Esk and Roydo and the like as people know they wouldn't wind the forum up.
i can take joking / ribbing all the while but people don't post a lot of info on here anymore purely because of how toxic it can get towards people who offer it, the likes of sheeds, davidmoyes etc have all left because of it, you can't say it's not a problem when it clearly is.

What, not prone to errors? He certainly is. Every keeper makes mistakes.

That was my point, mate.

I don't think we'll get Forster - but he's a very good keeper and not a 'lump' as somebody referred to him as.

Leno would be a class signing.
I quoted the wrong commemt mate

ooh friends, football friends

Have they mate.

Have they really.

It is certainly an interesting question.

no but it's a cycle, lad, is my point.

Some posters come on here and get something right with good info and that's sound. But they then turn into a sort of parody of their own ego.

DAVIDMOYES started off with a little comment about 'Has anybody heard anything about Cahill leaving to NY Red bulls?'. Turned out to be true and obviously they were sourced.

But it seemed they quickly believe their own hype as some kind of master of the internet, and the wolves will circle quickly after that.

If people have info and share it, all the better. Everybody appreciates it - but some posters can be arrogant about it - so the first instinct is to quip and see if you get a bite.

I just wouldn't take it to heart.

I got a little snippet of info about a move for Tadic a few seasons ago. I posted it on here, explained where i got it from as best I could, and that was it. I know you do similar when you have it.

The local press in Southampton have finally accepted the reality that it's done.

Ronald Koeman on the verge of quitting Saints

Ronald Koeman could be on the verge of quitting Saints.

The Dutchman has reportedly agreed terms with Everton, and could be announced as the Toffees’ new boss sometime this weekend.

Who are the bookies favourites to replace Koeman - see here

Reports suggest Koeman, who has a year left on his St Mary’s contract, has been tempted to swap the south coast for Merseyside because of the size of the transfer budget that new owner Farhad Moshiri is prepared to give him.

Though Saints have always backed Koeman in the transfer market, Everton’s potential budget is far bigger than he could ever realistically expect at St Mary’s.

Everton will have to pay Saints compensation for the final year of his contract, which is believed to be over £3m.

Koeman has twice led Saints to their best ever Premier League finish in his two seasons in England.

He led them to a seventh place finish in 2014/15 and a sixth placed finish in 2015/16. In contrast, Everton finished 11th in both seasons – 13 and 16 points respectively behind Koeman’s Saints.

There are very few with real inside sources at the club...but there are some.
Others have sources outside the club . I think that SHEEDY has a source who is an agent and his information is usually very good.
SHORTY at NSNO is another and of course The Esk.

Liverpool is not a big city and of course some posters could know and have access to club employees or family members of players.

I simply am not an ITK, but at the start of this week a very good friend of mine was sitting at a table with Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy.
My friend, not an Evertonian, took greatdelight in telling me this and although he asked a few questions of them, he certainly did not ask the questions I would have asked.

My point is that even on a once off any of us could become an itk....our fifteen minutes of fame.

Not thrilled with Koeman, although a solid enough appointment. But the best thing by far about this appointment is the piping down of the mass delusion on the south coast.
