To become Chairman. Not sure he would have to buy shares to be appointed to that position? (re. the post you were replying to)

Im not saying what role he would have, cos I honestly dont recall.

Just ive heard his name mentioned loads and loads of times by different people who generally know what they are talking about.

I can see why some people wanted Emery based on a very good European record. To me I remember the Fat Spanish Waiter being highly effective at setting up a team to win in Europe but then did nothing in the Premier league.

I also feel that it is evident that the Seville fans seem to attribute more of their success to Moshiri. That is not to say that Emery is not a talented coach but in reality the significance of Moshiri can not be underestimated. If the two did not come as a package then in reality we would only be getting a fraction of the team that brought about their success.

We have seen the likes of Villas Boas and Ramos, highly converted but in no way proved themselves in the Premier league.

What have Everton fans said we wanted in a manager?

1. An individual with a world class reputation that can attract players based on his standing in the game, something recent Everyon managers didn't have.

Just look at the record

- Multiple league titles and European Cup at PSV

- 190 plus appearances for Barcelona were he won the League 4 times, Cup and European Cup

- Won the European Championship with Holland

Was a name that like Gullit and Van Basten that as a kid you just thought legend!

A clear winning mentality.

Can we contrast with the Media Darling Klopp
Mainz, shall we notice a lot of runner ups (loser)

Bundesliga promotion: 2003–04

Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool

2. Tough and a disciplinarian when needs to be but as Schneiderlin described him very much treats players as human beings and can do the arm round shoulder. An essential to develop a Barkley character and with modern day wealthy footballers.

3. Tactically astute in the Premier league and a proven track record.

4. Flexible enough to work with a DoF but can act as an old school Manager if the right candidate for DoF can't be sourced e.g. Moshiri or Overmars, something Emery isn't proven at.

5. Will tackle Fitness an issue we've seen with the current squad and is essential to succeed in the Premier league so he's clearly going to address that. As we know from Martinez there is often an obsession in Europe with technical training over fitness.

6. Media savvy, good communicator and excellent grasp of English language. Not ever heard to use the word Phenomonal.

To me all that makes his appointment a no brainer.

Respect your opinion but you've been here a few months, I've been here approaching 10 years.

You've also misunderstood - I suspended davek until the new season because of reasons I highlighted here.

We asked him, politely, on several occasions to curb the disdain and colourful language towards Evertonians on this forum - he didn't.

If you want a forum that accepts that type of behaviour and incitement - I say, you find elsewhere.

If you'd like to continue to provide feedback, please do so here.

Now, back on topic...

Koeman is the biggest name ever to come to this club. When the players meet him for the first time they are going to be looking at a guy who has Won 2 European Cups PSV and Barcelona and the Euros with Holland. He has played with the best players of his generation and managed by Cryuff. As I have said before he was not my first choice. But the more I look I am becoming excited. Just look at it this way. Your Mrs wants a Louis Vuitton bag. You can or cannot afford it. So you either go to Harrods or the local Chinese shop. The last time BK went to the local Chinese shop and got Martinez. Looked great for the first year then fell apart. Moshiri on the other hand is used to shopping at Harrods.

They say it is Chairman. Bill shuffled off to become Life President.

I'm just pointing out if the esk has been suggesting its emery there's a slight problem. Also he mentioned David dein buying shares. Not going to happen sorry to question him but I don't think emery was offered the job.
Mate, since you've joined, you've been thrashing @The Esk, a hugely respected member/mod on here as well as being an incredible spokesperson for Evertonians. Pipe down.

Ok fine guess I'm fed up this I'd dragging on, esk apologizes I'm in the wrong just read he's taken a holiday and am like what the f and thinking not another week
