Who knows but it's a sensible approach if he knows about him and has done his homework.

I would think Arsenal will have a succession plan in place regularly reviewed as Wenger often signs short term renewals with little notice.

I love what Steve Coppell used to do at Reading, sign a one year deal, if you do well you get another deal.

Yes, and that 30% gives him 0% say in how things are run at Arsenal. There is a view that Usmanov wanted Wenger to be given serious transfer funds that would give him a real tilt at the PL and the CL. But the obstruction comes from Kroenke.
