Southampton may want to blow out of the negotiation, so that Koeman is forced to complete his last year contract.

what, so forsake £5mil in compo and have a person managing the side who doesn't want to be there?

All along, it has been a massive face-saving exercise by So'ton, who are basically trying to make Everton (and RK) out as the bad guys in this - when they are as equally as culpable as they gave us permission to speak to RK - it's not like it was tapping up or anything.

Forget all this negotiation nonsense, they just don't want to jinx it.

It couldn't be announced on 05.06.16 - the anniversary of Roberto's appointment.

It couldn't be announced yesterday 06.06.16 - too many sixes there for the club's liking.

Today is the 7th - lucky seven.

I am therefore expecting the tweet at precisely 7:07pm this evening.

Ronald will be given the No.7 shirt and knows he has to fight for his place :)

If it's at 3:33 or 9:11 or 7:77 I might start having suspicions that this Moshiri bloke is part of the Illuminati.

If Koeman wish to manage Arsenal or other bigger clubs in future and shows his professionalism, I think that he will still make his efforts to manage the team although his transfer is rejected by Saints.

Sky Sports: "We understand that Everton will be making a statement today about the arrival of Ronald Koeman as manager"

Everton are pleased to announce the arrival of new manager Ronald Koeman for the season 17-18, Southampton finally gave in after a year long negotiation which saw them lose 5mil compo, all the while Koeman sat on a beach while he waited for the negotitions to finish.

Farhad Moshiri said he over joyed to get man he really wanted. It took an entire year but finally hes here.
Unfortunatly for Everton and Southamton there both in the Championship as neither team had a manager during the entire 16-17 season while they fought over Koeman

They will announce it when he's back off holiday at a press conference, that is the way it should be done, they won't announce it while he's on his Hols.

Chill your beans, it's in the bag.

Everton's media manager probably need a sacking on this evidence
