Find it bizarre that fellow fans are happy to talk about players that we can poach from Southampton - but must be some of the same people who formed an irrational dislike for Moyes, partly on the basis of him trying to poach Fellaini and Baines. It's part of football. Moyes deserves to be respected by all for what he did for the club

It would be one thing if he would have come in with a respectable offer. What he did was insulting.

He also made some comments that irked many a blue.

The dislike is not irrational at all.

Skybet defo changed its market, won't pay out till he's managed first game of the season now... and the others won't pay till they announce it.

I've h8u everton got informal overdraft charges now and a lump in my throat

The dislike for Moyes started when he came out of with the comment "I always did what was best for my players and their careers". When we all knew that was BS. Especially the Lescott fiasco.

Have there been issues though that have led to delays in the announcement being made? There seems to have been an unearthly amount of time between the first ITK nod that the job was a good 'un and the formal announcement, which has still not occurred?! Maybe I haven't followed other managerial appointments quite as closely as this but I can't recall anything quite so prolonged as this in getting it over the line.

We delayed Martinez' announcement by 24 hours after Wigan said it was done.

Not totally sure why on this occasion, there are no issues I am aware of - it might, and this is conjecture, I have no evidence to back it up, be related to DoF discussions?

Fair to say that the breaking of the news came from the Southampton side of things?
