.....the ability to successfully bring in the right talent is key. Not just the best players but the best blend of players. Monchi has a proven record in this respect so it could be as important an appointment as Koeman. It's vital the Manager and DoF work in tandem.

Going back to the time when John Moores was chairman, it was total cloak and dagger time - we stole Alan Ball from under shankly's nose and no one even had a clue...OK different time without the communication facilities we have now.. but for me thats a good sign about the way we seem to be conducting our business now - guarded optimism
