Whopper! Haven't heard that for a while. Agreeing compo and having a contract to be signed means nothing until he leaves Southampton. Why haven't they said he's gone if it's done and dusted. My opinion is he went on holiday to weigh up his options.

I imagine Saints are trying to wipe their hands of it, and are getting about finding their own new manager with little fanfare. They don't want to be the ones drawing attention to the fact they've been mugged off... again.
