We looking at Tuesday now? What's the reason?

Unpacking from not one but two holidays must be a terrible dose.

And a house move to sort out on top.

Will be a busy week for the Koemans, he'll get round to sorting the "practical issues" at Everton some stage this week bless him.

And that's fair enough mate. But unfortunately you seem to be in the minority.
Not true, most of us would agree that Everton are bigger than Southampton in terms of history and crowds etc. but we are ambitious and our Board expect year on year improvement - particularly now that Leicester have proved that it can be done.

Exactly. And just above you is an even bigger one.
Every now and then a little one fights above their weight for a while and sometimes the biggest ones in the world become extinct!
There is no doubt that up to very recent times what you say is true.
Up to very recent times Ronald Koeman possibly would not have chosen to leave Southampton and join Everton.

There has certainly been a serious change at Everton. Only time will tell us all if we are now one of those that are top of the food chain or if we are lower down the food chain.... but if we are then we are also fooling Ronald Koeman , it would appear.

I know Southampton fans are pointing out they have finished higher than us for the last two season...but , isn't that why we have taken Koeman as our manager.
It should not be forgotten that we did finish fifth the season before.

Whereas we have not won anything since 1995, we have finshed fourth in the meantime , played and lost an FA cup final to Chelsea and this season lost at the semi final stage of both cup competitions.

I have been supporting Everton since before the championship winning side of the seventies. I have seen as many false dawns as anybody.

This to me is different, the money spent so far in simply sacking and replacing a manager spells intent or gross stupidity. We are also reportedly chasing a dof and again we seem to have identified targets and are pursuing them vigorously.

As a club we have been in a phase of stabilisation and then slow progress for well over a decade.
The money was carefully minded and even more carefully spent.
Moshiri was not born a wealthy man, he made his own fortune and I expect he knows the value of money. All of these things tell me that I am now supporting a different Everton than just a few months ago.....but, time will tell us all.

Southampton is a club I have always liked and will continue to do so. I think that may be however that may in part be because we have a good points record against Southamton.
I have read about your wealthy owner and I cannot help but wonder what future this owner sees for her club. She may indeed be wealthy , but has allowed two highly rated managers leave in a very short period of time and has allowed key players to leave the club. So far , she has been lucky and it has not hurt the club...I think.
But , in all honesty do you see that as a long term course of action to improve the club.

It is only since Everton have been able to afford to stop selling our best players that we have started to put together the nucleus of a good squad and the nucleus is good , just not properly used last season.

Can't wait for this thread to close, it's gone mental now. Moaning and WUMs everywhere interspersed with Southampton fans crazy ranting
Oi - you lot infiltrated our forum with ranting too :D I too wish Ronald Koeman would be announced as your manager asap and then we can all move on. Will be disappointed to lose Erwin and Jan though - top blokes.
