I'm actually a subscriber to the notion that we have a new board coming and things will look up, albeit on a level we can only dream of, but this delay is strange. I do hope we find out why. The story was that RK signed with us or agreed to, then left on holiday so we could agree between clubs for compensation, then he would come back (independent from when the deal entre clubs was secured) and the deal would be complete.
I am not sure now. I am also a little dubious as there were mutterings that Emery was in pole position to be next manager, that Monshi was going to be the DOF, yet other than forum talk and Twitter there is nothing to suggest either could happen. None of these things have happened and we still don't have a manager, but will tomorrow. Why has it been such a saga if we really have massive power now?
Also why has some sections of the press heralded this the equal coming of a new financial giant shoulder to shoulder with RS/MANU/MC etc. We are paying a lot (allegedly but looking less likely every day) to the Saints as compensation. That is known. But also, for the first time we are going to be in the money from the TV deal.
Tomorrow (today) will be a big day in our history. I am still sceptical. Hoping for the best, definitely optimisic, for once. We've all been let down so many times so we are super apprehensive but putting on a brave front. Most of us are still expecting to be shafted. A few forum posts cannot change that.
