Mark Hughes being mentioned as Martinez's replacement.

On that note, maybe Martinez can have another season.
I'd rather have Martinez than Moyes or Hughes is Howe. I'm now for sacking him because I want to attract and retain players. These three will not do that. Have nothing but admiration for Howe but this is not the right time/fit for club or Howe.

Mendes (bottom) could broker deals for both Mourinho (left) and Pellegrini this summer
Jorge Mendes, who also looks after David De Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo, is understood to be brokering a deal to bring Mourinho to Manchester United.

Express Sport understands Mourinho, 53, is United's No 1 candidate to succeed manager Louis van Gaal if the Dutchman leaves the club this summer.

But Mendes was not in Manchester to sort out that move.

Instead, newspapers in Valencia claim he was brokering a deal for Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Superdeport and Plaza Deportiva report that Pellegrini is a candidate to become Valencia's new head coach at the end of the season.

The Chilean is out of work this summer, with Pep Guardiola signed up to replace him on a three-year contract.

Discussing his future after City's 0-0 Champions League draw with Real Madrid last night, Pellegrini said: "Spain will always be an open door (but) there are several alternatives, I will choose calmly."
