Have to agree...a younger version I would have jumped at. Is he up to rebuilding a squad?

Do we really need a rebuild?

GK, CM, LW?

CD + Forward if Rom and Stones go.

Baines and Jags still good for another year.

I'd be happy with Pellegrini on a 2/3 year deal.

David Prentice, out in Spain with the RS, spoke on Radio 4 earlier and moreorless rubbished any notion of Mark Hughes being considered.

Notably, he also stressed that the club have made absolutely nothing public about whether the managers position is under threat.

Someone please put us out of our mystery and tell us Hughes isn't it in the running.

If we appoint Hughes, I'm taking up water polo and following that instead.

I would massively doubt under our new majority owner that Hughes is in the running.

Under Kenwright, 100% i think he would be, with Howe.

That said, i was hoping Moshiri would have sacked Martinez by now so who knows whats going on.

Other than the Board of Directors of Everton FC, nobody has any real idea of who the club are trying to appoint as the replacement for RM.

That said, as in an earlier post, David Prentice of the Echo speaking on Radio 4 this morning clearly advised that he gave no credence whatsoever to the report in the Daily Mirror about Hughes.

Furthermore, the oaf that wrote the story has since been on the radio and admitted that the story is his supposition and therefore the story is just that, a story, a fantasy, a whimsical idea perpetrated by a lazy journo needing to fill column inches, website space and above all, generate hits... and to that aim, he has largely succeeded irrespective of whether he looks a complete knucklehead or not.

Moshiri is close friends with Kia Joorbicean who is Mark Hughes business manager. They used to have a box together at Arsenal for years

.....notice BetVictor are now the only bookie running a 'next Everton manager' market. perhaps they think the heat has gone out of the RM situation.
There's only BetVictor that show the odds during the night Eggs, the others close the book during the evening and then open them again during the day.

The others will appear again soon enough if they haven't already.

Given the colossal heavyweights linked with the job last time, e.g. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Malky Mackay, it is becoming clearer to me why RM got the job in the first place. I just hope to god this time, we have shortlist of high quality candidates, anyone of which we would be pleased to have chosen.
