I don't mind him not hanging about if he finishes his final season like that

Oh I would love him here, no mistake there.

And the idealist in me would like him to embrace the club etc etc, like Martinez did so well, and be here for ages till he wanted to manage Portugal.

Or England.

Lets face it, there aint much left for him to do in club management. Rebuilding Everton might be right up his alley.

Not really. Would be a great one initially, but his track record in the long term stats aint all that.
How good would it be to have a great one though? Just something to cling on to, the national media are so dismissive of us, just appointing him would stick 2 fingers up to them. Before on talksport, I know you listen, but Parry suggested JM and Jacobs just laughed it off as impossible.

We are currently not in the position to take risks, we have senior players retiring, we have star players wanting out? And we have the middle of the road players that will provide at best a middle of the road season without said stars. We need to get this appointment right with NO risk. Steve McLaren won the Dutch title with FC Twente, so FDB winning it with Ajax means nothing.

Also H&J had their Dutch expert on earlier, who in fairness said he's the best Dutch coach working in Holland at the moment but nowhere near as good as Koeman, so for those who don't rate/want Koeman what does that say about this fella?

Also there are very few Ajax fans, on social media admittedly, who seem gutted he's going, baring in mind he's a club legend and won the league, I'd of expected outcries aplenty.

I don't know anywhere near enough to make an informed judgement on FDB, like 95% of this forum, I do know it's a risk.

Can Everton, with its uncertainty over players, mental weakness, poor spirit and wretched morale really be affording to take risks?

It's a no from me.

Agree. Would be ace. Or could be.

So we shouldnt take a risk?

We should appoint Koeman cos hes a steady eddie?

Nar, take the chance on somebody that won something this decade, its like you WANT Sammy Lee in the Goodison dugout.
