6th is a far site better than 12th...

Koeman has a balance. It's what this club needs.

Anybody thinking we're gonna get Mourinho and be challenging for the league next season needs a headcheck.

Btw, next year will be nowhere near as open as this. I expect City, Chelsea or potentially even United will have the title sealed by April.

Check the last few years.

After a mad season in the PL, there is always a major tournament (think: City win lg last min 2012, liverpool bottle it 2014, Leicester 2016...)

Season immediately following that, all the teams tail off around xmas due to players not having a full pre-season. the team who starts the best wins the league (think: Man U 2013, Chelsea 2015...)

We did the 6th place trophy thing under Moyes for 10 yrs. It,s more of the same.
The message here from the club is more of the same but we are,nt going to match the fans ambitions to crack the the top four and title.

But he did that on Southampton's budget. We'll surely be able to give him a lot more to spend.

then I wonder if the game involved was the Stoke 3-4 game ?

Memory serves me right mate I got told this by a friend of a friend around the beginning of March. We were out with him and he's the head of conditioning at Barnsley.

Stones had been back to Oakwell the week before - there's an article on it somewhere with a picture of him with a kid - for like a 'past players' dinner gala thing for charity.

Stones had been saying then to the Barnsley lads that there'd been some fall-outs - and I posted that at the time.

Whether he was talking about fall-outs at that time, or like you said, previous to that, it's unclear.

De Boer would be a good choice for the derby matches, the Dutch don't like the Germans and this would further motivate him to smash klipperty.

I don't know what it is but koeman just screams "meh" to me

Just not exciting
Think it's because their are much better managers out there and his records not that great. Personally I find it frustrating that other than Mourinho we don't seem to have at leat talked to other top candidates like Emery.

Except we are talking about funding him at levels miles away from where Moyes was operating , Koeman is currently operating at Moyes level . We are seeking to fund an improvement on that aren't we ?

Koeman even physically looks more of an Everton manager than Martinez.

Over the last few months Roberto's hair completely receded away, he looked to lost a bit weight and his skin went all sallow. Having a bloke who looks as if he's dying in our dugout isn't something that would ever inspire to be honest.

Ronald's a big bull of a man, can tell he likes a tackle, a pint and a good shout. Bet him and Ferguson would be best mates.

While managerial style has been discussed in depth for all the candidates, one of the key qualities the new man must have is the ability to talk our bigger names into staying and attracting quality players in. The budget can be whatever it is but getting players to want to play for you is so key. In that respect the two Dutch candidates raise question marks for me whereas Mourinho and Pellegrini would be stronger in this regard. Only IMO.
