Southampton...if we want Koeman and can't tempt him from that non-entity of a club then we've got big problems on our hands.

Intriguing though...I'd love a huge statement of intent to mark a much-needed revolution, but I don't expect it.

Clutching at straws. He could have said "I'm not interested and my future is here." He said neither. He simply said 'yes' to a question about his future being with Southampton cause what else is he meant to say? "No sorry, I know I've got another year left here but the mighty Blues are calling and Moshiri has a Lamborghini waiting outside for me to take me up there, so I'm off now."

I mean, come on.

By future he could mean 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 years. He was deliberately vague which suggests he's either on his way or keeping his options open... a million miles from confirmation he's staying at Southampton.

The Esk's comments and that Southampton prezzer suggests to me he is at least interested and has indicated as much when unofficially sounded out. That doesn't mean he is our man but that he is firmly in the race and happy to be so.

I like how Koeman is now 2nd favourite and his odds have shortened after the press conference where he said he was staying at Southampton.

Though as we all know it means not a lot as since yesterday FSW has shortened in price and he surely won't get it.
