These are hilarious! :)

Frank De Boer will be our manager, and I have the feeling he'll do a great job: by this I mean he'll win the league at least once in the next five years, and a fair amount of cups too. Probably finish top 5 with a cup next year. This is just my gut feeling and I could be wrong.

But I'm extremely optimistic, not quite sure why.

Frank de Boer made his pitch to become Roberto Martinez's successor as Everton manager on Friday.

Sportsmail understands that talks between the former Holland defender's representative Guido Albers and Goodison officials took place on Friday.

De Boer is available after stepping down from his role as Ajax manager this week and is interested in the job.

Albers is likely to be a pivotal figure in Everton's search for a new boss. He also represents Southampton manager Ronald Koeman, who remains Everton's No 1 target to replace Martinez.

De Boer is looking for a new challenge after leaving Ajax and believes Goodison Park is the right destination for him.

His twin brother Ronald said: 'Frank is very much interested in the job. He has taken his coaching career step by step. He started with the Under 12s, then the Under 19s and then he took over from Martin Jol (as senior Ajax boss).

'He is now ready for the next step. Frank has already showed with his five and a half years at Ajax he brings something extra into the game.

'The Everton board, of course, have to agree with it and there are a lot of other candidates who are capable of doing the job. We will wait and see.'

David Unsworth and Joe Royle discuss tactics as they watch over a training session at Finch Farm on Friday

One of those, Koeman, has distanced himself from the post, saying he will hold talks over a new deal at St Mary's. 'I am manager of Southampton, and as I mentioned last week, everybody knows I have one more year (on my current) contract,' said Koeman.

'I got the same question about my future last week but we will sit together, analyse and talk about the future.

'It is important to continue, let's do our job this weekend and there is time next week before I go on holiday to talk about the future of the club.'

Tim Howard believes Everton's players must take some responsibility for Martinez's sacking. The veteran keeper will make his 414th and final appearance for Everton against Norwich on Sunday before joining Colorado Rapids in July.

'I think we have underachieved this season,' said Howard. 'The players have probably let ourselves down. Any time a manager loses his job, they can't replace 22 of us, which is probably unfortunate for them. They are always blamed.'

Jose Mourinho has other options should Manchester United stick with Louis van Gaal
Mourinho is growing increasingly impatient as he waits for United to make a decision over the future of Louis Van Gaal.

He has been linked with the United job ever since his dismissal at Chelsea in December co-incided with Van Gaal coming under intense pressure following a dismal sequence of results.

United have improved in the second half of the season but could still miss out on Champions League qualification, if neighbours City take a point at Swansea on Sunday (3pm).

Jose Mourinho made a suprise return to the managerial dugout when he oversaw a FIFA Football Legends team as they took on a Mexican All-Stars side at the Azteca Stadium
No decision will be taken on Van Gaal’s future until after the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on May 21. And if United lift the trophy for the first time since 2004, Van Gaal could stay for the final year on his contract.

But Mourinho is piling on the pressure with Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain waiting in the wings to appoint him.

He has been in Mexico for a FIFA legends game this week at the same time as United director David Gill - although it is unclear if the pair have held talks.

But he confirmed he will be back in football for the start of pre-season training.

"Of course I miss it," he said. "But in July I will be back. So we are in May and May to July is nothing.

"I keep enjoying my life which I'm doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back. June 30 (to sign a contract) - that's fine."

Even if United finish fifth and end up in the Europa League, Van Gaal believes he has done enough to see out the final 12 months of his current deal.

But there is a concern at Old Trafford that the club needs a serial-winner like Mourinho to take on Pep Guardiola, who will be in charge across town next season.
