Pundits saying Koeman moving to Everton wouldn't be a step up isn't that surprising. We may be a bigger club but for the last 20 years we've been a poor club trying to get the cheap deals on players and bargain managers and even though we know that's changed now, we haven't done anything that would make non Everton fans sit up and pay attention yet. So pundits look at us and think "Everton are a big club but they've been crap recently, Southampton are in the europa league, Koeman moving there is a sideways move at the moment". It's really not a strange thought to have.

As a club now we need to show that we mean business, I personally don't care if Koeman comes here or not but whoever we bring in needs to be backed and we need to make people look at us as a club with ambition and one that's capable of achieving something. No good moaning about how we're seen, we need to do something to change it.

Echo podcast saying Moshiri's main target is Koeman and that we will pursue it doggedly until 'we land our man'

Drama unfolding isn't it.
Each party trying thier very best to distance themselves and full blown face saving exercise going on.
Man U not targeting Mourinho
Man U not sacking lvg
Mourinho no deal agree to go Man U
Mourinho never approach Everton
Everton first choice koeman
Koeman stating he's not decided his future
De boer not Everton first choice

Rubbish media

Note to banned RS WUM posing as Blues trying to rejoin.

Dont bother lads.

You know who you are, and so, more importantly, do we.
Keep up the good work.

It's a fair time for speculation. I'm glad De Boer isn't first choice, if he were worth a jot he would't be at Ajax for 6 years. If Mourinho is in any way a target then great. Koeman outside of JM has been my long time number 1. Clearly a talented manager with an eye for a player, whilst keeping his composure m. If he can get that Southampton squad top 6 he WILL work wonders with this squad.

Think it all hinges on what happens to Van Gaal.

Looks to be a toss up between Koeman and De Boer with Mourinho an outside chance as it stands. (Just my gut instinct)

Maybe I'm being impatient but we should definitely be pursuing our number one target by now and set a rough date to have a manger by. Not only is it the Euros but clubs are already bidding for their summer targets. Considering we're meant to be having an overhaul this window, and although these decisions need time, hopefully the new manager is here by first week in July.

I imagine this is all happening.
