Am I not allowed to post on this thread ?

Why are people so touchy when Moyes gets mentioned ?

Because most people agree that his managerial ability doesn't match our new owners ambitions.

Of course it's only opinions. Lets wait and see what happens.

We will need a manager with Prem or Champions league experience, one who can both be persuasive by using the arm round the shoulder but totally resolute in achieving his aims. I don't want Mourinho because his ego is bigger than anything we have and it would overshadow the club itself. Koeman ticks most boxes although there are times I've felt he, like Roberto, is tactically naive. Moyes left us, burnt his bridges so he can do one, de Boer is a possibility but lacks Prem experience and although he is signing for Zenit Pelligrini was too nice on the surface at least. Moshiri has a tough decision to make but, and its taking a chance, I'd give it to Eddie Howe especially as he is a brought up blue. The lad has worked wonders on a very limited budget at Bournemouth, he set the seeds in place at Burnley setting up academies and the like but on the downside he is unlikely attract big names to the club.

We have a great bunch of youngsters and a rotting batch of old hands some of which should have been sent packing years ago.............who ever the new guy is his first duty will be to take a fair amount of the oldies out into the yard then use the shotgun. Youngsters need nurturing properly and I again think Howe would be able to this.

What ever name comes in he will have to miss any summer holiday as there is so much to do and so many bodies to be moved

Of course you can post.

But this ITK stuff which you repeatedly said last night was not something you were trying to imply you were, is, frankly, tosh.
Im not an ITK but I have spoken to someone with certain links to the club. is that clear enough ?

Would love Favre myself but I am deeply concerned about the fact he just got up and left Monchengladbach after a rocky start. Think it was 6 losses in the opening games? Bit concerned about his mental strength in that regard. Do think he'd be a good appointment though.

Favre is one of the oldest friends of the Arsenal manager, it is that not hard to believe that our new shareholder has not canvassed the advice of his former club manager.
Favre is reputable an advocate of tight high pressing defence and breakaway football.
So he may well be the man.

Can remember when people looked on Moyes (when at Preston) as an up and coming manager and ticked a few boxes, I would prefer a manager that's a proven winner,JMO.
