In fairness the foreign ones haven’t been doing too well for us either.

they all managed a piss pot club in England. Eddie Howe is fits into this category very well

A young, inexperienced, Tika-Taka wannabe who has never managed at a “big” club. Never faced pressure when it goes wrong.

He’ll continue a good tradition of pulling crap managers from smaller teams in the hope it works, and it won’t

If Silva is punted, there are some OK managers out there who we could certainly attract that are out of work; Rudi Garcia, Marcelino and Quique Setien mainly. All still gambles though, but perhaps they have better recent experiences than Silva had before he joined us.

I don't know how close Silva is to the exit doors though. Going off the Koeman precedent, who had a better first season and had Europe to contend with in season 2, Silva must be on the brink. Given that Moshiri made such a concerted move for him, the fact we belatedly paid £4mil in compensation for a fired manager and the fact Richarlison could disappear like he did at Watford when Silva left, I'm don't suspect he is close the end.

Mancini should have been the move 18 months ago. Won stuff with city and inter, likes the north west and has that pull of bringing in good players due to his career as a player and manager, the man is a winner who had city playing their best football if you take the pep year’s out. If he is willing to leave the Italian job id make him prime target he’s only 54 plenty of years ahead of him.

He wont bin off the national team a few months from a tournament

Because I want Guardiola. But I can't have Guardiola.

So I'll have the next best thing. His assistant who knows exactly what it's like to be inside a treble winning dressing room, learning from the best manager in the world every day. And he understands the important things about the identity we need to refind at Everton.

He's no more of a gamble than any of our last 4 managers. With Martinez, Koeman, BFS, and Silva there were known flaws already evident. With Arteta there's potentially a much higher ceiling.

I want everton to look and feel like everton again. I dunno what this club is at the minute but I really really dislike it.

How about Steve McLaren lol or Brian Kidd :o

Good shout that, i actually googled him yesterday.

Silva stays for me but hes a good option as is Nagelsmann.

I saw somebody say :

1st choice Jose, if we cant get Jose get Arteta.

I mean they went from the greatest manager of the last 20 years to somebody who puts cones out for Pep.

I KARNT EVEN
Jose rejected Chinese lately. Sadly think he's waiting for a job in Madrid. He's got some unfinished business over there.
