One can never be sure but our top people have not researched a replacement you can be sure of that.

Could say it is in the lap of the gods.

Im sure they will have done...but getting these deals over the line can take 1-2 weeks.

I think the Norwich result has taken everyone by surprise and the fan reaction has shocked the board.

Mate of mine is a cabbie, apparently all the drivers are chatting about Poch staying in the Radisson in town, he was dropped off there last night. Don’t shoot the messenger, just passing information on.

That would mean that Silva would have to be sacked in the next couple of hours with Poch announced tonight / tomorrow.

So unless hes booted in the next 2-3 hours its not happening.

If Silva could have listed the things he wouldn't have wanted it would have been Saturday. Flat performance, no poor refereeing decision to divert anger, deservedly beaten by bottom of the table, and a final clinching goal to come in stoppage time, while the game was at Goodison.

For me Brands should have had a list of people ready to go with and he should have now been kicking that into place. I sense we haven't done the first part.

Niko Kovac, Allegri, Pochettino, Marcelino, Blanc, Van Bronckhorst, Wenger - there’s a lot of talent out of work - not going to suggest all of them would be interested in coming here but it’s what we should be aiming for. Bringing in a consistent loser like Moyes or Hughes would be a disgrace.

From that list...

Allegri or Poch.

I have a feeling it may be Arteta with either Moyes or Alonso as assistant manager...

Or the press...

As i posted above...Arteta with Moyes as assistant till end of the season?

Joint managerships are rare currently. However this could make a lot of sense.

He gets a lot of criticism but I do sense Moyes has some affection for the club and also towards Arteta. I do wonder if he would accept either a joint role or even a secondary role alongside Arteta?

I have long come to accept we will not attract the sort of calibre of manager I would ideally like to see us push for, so Arteta alongside Moyes may cover a fair few of the basis.
