I think the board would like the elder statesman Ancelotti teamed with the apprentice Ferguson.

We will have to wait to see how this develops but in one week Duncan Ferguson has created more excitement around Everton than we have seen in ages.

The board will be looking to see if there is something in this that can be used by the club.
The buzz he has made is amazing, if it was any other manager that got that win on Sunday it would be a good start, but that Chelsea game will be talked about by young kids for years to come. If you are of school age now and went on Sunday, it would be your Bayern Munich for many back then, it was that good.

Sold Niasse, Snides, Walcott, Beni and Stek, signed Zlatan and had a bid accepted for Thomas Muiener but Fraudhad Moshiri wouldnt give me more transfer funds so I resigned, farce of a club, im off to Ajax next.

I think it's safe to say that it won't be Moyes. As he would've been in by now and wiped his cock all over the boardroom curtains.

I'm sad it won't be Gallardo - maybe in another lifetime. Hoping now that we confirm Ancelotti and start to move forward.

Forza Carlo!

Greg O'Keefe started his article in 'the Athletic' with

"It was only meant to be one game.

Goodison Park thought it. The Everton board thought it. And, perhaps most importantly, Duncan Ferguson thought it ...."

I must admit I never for one second thought they would have their man lined up and move overnight as per Spurs. We are Everton, muddle through with no idea is our speciality.

Koeman - Unsworth - Allardyce set up he standard and we're having a good go at reaching that level again.

I genuinely think he couldn't care less if he the ultimate back up option who ends up getting the job, even when it was clear that he would only be appointed as a last resort. Still think he's nailed on.

I sincerely hope you are right.

Going down the line it is like playing Monopoly, all the good propertied have gone and you are left with Whitechapel Road (aka Moyes)
