Suits, I normally agree with you on most points, but the comparison chart you have put up there backs up my statement in my mind. one for one comparisons I think we are ahead, but you are missing one HUGE point. Spurs have a great bunch of individuals that make a good team, we have a great bunch of individuals that are starting to radiate a very special quality. A bunch of individuals that fight for each other and make a great team and team ethic. Maybe it is just the romantic in me, but this time I think I hit the nail on the head. As Bruce said, they are great on paper, we are great together in practice

I was thinking this today, we've had Cahill (19 games), Valente (13), Hibbert (11). They're all players that we would have expected in the first team. Add in Naysmith (10), VDM (7), Beattie (16) and we've been without a number of senior players for large chunks of the season.

Whilst we havn't been decimated by injuries this season we've had our share and coped pretty well. If we can add some more quality over the summer then all the better.

im just cautious is all, whats our chang money? whats the mansion deal?

for me, and its not a great comment, but the only player we have on the books more skillful than berbatov is arteta.

that means [Poor language removed] all, i understand that, a lot is made of the 'entertainment' aspect side of football.

i would like to see arteta cahill and manny in a five man midfield... i want to see how mikel and manny make space for cahill to get forward into.

in the midfield comparisson above, only cahill and arteta are my first choices, manny isnt ours, zokora is a really solid player, lennon is a quality right winger, and every account on this site and every other blue site wanted us to snag malbranque.

lennon arteta zokora malbranque
...............cahill

is quality.

thats how i stand on the compare and contrast question.

Its nip and tuck really lads theyd prob take a few of our defenders in a swap and wed prob take a few of their midfielders. In fairness the only swap i wouldnt agonise over would be lennon id take him in a heart beat to be honest i think its like for like really in terms of quality.

Dam straight mate. That would be impressive. And bloody good fun. Also, in an ideal world, imagine Berbatov and AJ alongside each other, goal fest I believe.

I'm staggered by the fact that Spurs actually managed to sign Berbatov in the first place, The guy is [Poor language removed] hot but some how all the big boys missed him. If Berbatov's agent is greedy he may persuade his man to 'move on' to a much more profitable contract elsewhere in the close season, there have already been 'rumours' so watch this space.

Benny said when his move to us almost went through that he was looking for a prem stage to get a move to man ure.

lets see if shevchenko goes back to italy where berbatov ends up.

Makes me glad we never signed Benny, mercenary as most are, can you imagine the feeling in the Blackburn dressing room, you lot are not good enough for me attitude.

means he has to do the business though, hughes knew the score with benny like he did with bellers.

did you see bennys header against spurs, it was well taken.... did you see who put the cross in?
