What I can't tell is this:

Is Derek Carr just that bad that they hand the ball to Taysom Hill to run out the clock?
Are Dennis Allen and Pete Carmichael simply not trustworthy to make decisions on the sideline?

I always thought they should start Taysom. Mobile threat with a cannon for a right arm. Use our receiver speed. As for the Chuckle Brothers, 'nuff said.

I am split on Taysom--absolutely the kind of guy you want in your team, can do so much and gives 100%; at the same time he's a gimmick player and those don't really count in this league, you can't depend on him. But if you depend on him to close out a tight game against an inferior team... well we've got PROBLEMS.

True. But I wonder how he'd do if he wasn't used as a gimmick player. As it stands now, when he lines up at quarterback, the opposition knows he'll be running it 95% of the time.

I guess the question is he a better thrower than Tim Tebow? We know he's good in the locker room. I just don't see that as a viable offense for a 33yo with a marginal passing range.

Horrendous division.

Saints still have the best QB in the division, and best supporting cast, particularly on defense.

They should win the division

The Bills look like a very soft football team

The used to be only soft on offense, but their defense was nails.

Now I agree, they are soft everywhere - this is not the same D they've had for a while

And they still simply refuse to run the ball.

If you saw the INT Mac threw down by the goal line on the series before that you would understand. Had a receiver open for the go-ahead TD and underthrew him by 10 yards. Truly shambolic QB play.

Awful throw. One of the worst I've seen from a starting nfl QB
