Just a reminder that a team like Atlanta could have front-loaded a contract the Ravens couldn't match (a poison pill contract) and had the MVP for 2 No.1 picks. It was straight up toxic between the Ravens front office and Lamar last year, he really didn't want to be in Baltimore.

I will never feel bad for Buffalo fans. Absolute whoppers the lot of them. Diving onto plastic tables and jumping into open pits and getting blackout drunk in the parking lot. They’re the Geordies of the NFL, right down to the fact that none of them have ever seen their team win anything.
Very happy with the Bucs season despite the outcome. A huge overachievement. They had something like $75 million in dead money on their salary cap from the Brady runs, and that typically means you don’t have a lot of depth. It showed big time in the second half, they lost a couple defenders and after that they couldn’t get the Lions off the field.

What a brilliant game, felt the chiefs just about deserved it with a few bits of luck going the bills way after they got away with that stinking call to fake the punt with 12 mins still on the clock

I think the Chiefs mucking it up is just about the only hope the Ravens have. If Mahomes plays at the level he did last night then Lamar cannot live with him.
The Ravens will be favoured because of their record during the season and HFA, but I’ve a funny feeling my comments about Lamar’s weaknesses as a passer may be very relevant next Sunday.

Lost in the excitement of the Lions beating the Buccaneers to advance to the NFC Championship Game was that both teams made clock management mistakes at the end of the game.
