NFL 2024 Season

Watching highlights of the packers / lions now.

Lions very fortunate imo. Lots of errors down to weather conditions by Packers who outgained them in yardage 2-1.

Chiefs would handle them quite easily, say 28-14

Both teams had to play in the poor conditions. Lions were just the better team on the day.

Chiefs would obviously be favourites if they face the Lions, but I doubt they would handle them easily; lost to them last season, and in pre-season this year…

I watched the game. Fortune had nothing to do with it, they are a genuinely good team and easily the best in the NFC imo

The pre-season lol

Do you know what chiefs pre-season is?

I’ll tell you. It’s the regular season.

Unlike for the likes of the Ravens where the regular season is their playoffs/Super Bowl

They weren't fortunate- they deserved to win because they didn't make basic errors.

Putting up yardage is irrelevant if you can't avoid huge errors every time you get into scoring range. What frustrated me most was that this game was not the Lions outplaying Green Bay - it was Green Bay making inexplicable errors.
But that’s my point. They won due to the kinds of basic errors the likes of the Chiefs never make in such large numbers. It was ridiculous last night.

Jefferson gets all the focus and rightly so but Addison is a legit baller too. Add Hockenson back from injury and our receiving core is top notch. Imagine if we had a Mahomes, Goff or Allen. Be contenders I think.

Khalil Shakir. Just the felt the need to big this lad up. Having a great season. 42 receptions on 45 targets, which is the best ever % through 9 games with at least 35 targets (or so it said last night on the broadcast).

We’ve finally found the player to replace Cole Beasley on those short to mid range routes. The amount of times he gets wide open is insane. 1730747305553.webp

The kinda have a Goff tbh, maybe too many turnovers to say he’s exactly the same but Goff hasn’t had that habit kicked for long.

They need to bite the bullet, accept being terrible and let the cap reset itself enough to build a real roster over the next few years.

what I've read is that it will balloon again next year but be ok in 2026, but they'll probably never have a good cap situation under Loomis unless he changes course immediately. he's been the problem as much as anyone and IMO he has to go.
