NFL America's game

I am really astounded the amount of people rooting for the Pats. You lot complain when Johnny Foreigner supports Man U or Chelsea. It's the same thing!!!!

I had the 'pleasure' of living in New England while the Pats and the Red Sox were winning everything. The New Englanders were insufferable, and their attitudes reminder me a whole lot of the shower over the park.

I want to give you a hug. Everything you just said made me happy.

So happy the Pats lost. I cannot express how much I hate them and everything else from Boston. Either Baltimore or San Fran winning would make me happy.

Disagree.

Handegg players may be larger in terms of raw muscle size, but in endurance and general fitness rugby players are on a completely different level. In rugby the players cover way more ground and have far less standing around between plays like Handegg players do.

Depends on how you describe the term 'athlete'. I don't consider huge guys with no endurance to be the world's best athletes, personally. The average Rugby player covers 4.35 miles per match, for Handegg it's 0.19 miles.

In fact, i'd even say the size issue is debatable.

Mate, every NFL player plays Rugby growing up.. Except we call it "Kill the Carrier, or Smear the Queer" All those guys have the endurance to play Rugby. If they knew the rules they would probably be good at it too..

On topic, Since becoming a Soccer fan in '06 I rarely watch AM. Football for mostly the same reasons my distant cousins don't. To many fecking breaks and commercials.. Drives me mad.

Should be a good Super Bowl. Lot of talent on both defenses, good RBs, two quarterbacks who haven't been there yet. Not sure who will win but can guarantee the Harbowl angle will be insufferable.

THE reason I'll just watch the game and not the build up.

Cultures are the same everywhere.

I'm an American Everton fan. The anti-NFL posters here are *exactly* like the anti-"soccer" posters on American sports message boards. You can literally change a word or two and the posts are interchangeable.

American board: "Soccer is stupid. The players are all sissies who run around in shorts. Nothing ever happens."

English board: "American football is stupid. The players are all sissies who run around in pads. Nothing ever happens."

So I'm going to get into NFL...I like Seattle Seahawks...is that a decent choice?

Depends. The Seahawks are team on the rise, but they tend to pop up for a year or two and then recede back into the darkness - sometimes for a VERY long time. In terms of support, meeting a Seahawks fan outside of the Pacific Northwest is almost unheard of. I grew up in Chicago, lived in North Carolina for a few years, and attended university/still live in Kentucky. I have met exactly one(1) Seahawks fan in my life outside of the immediate Seattle area.

Put it this way: I'd have to work harder to find a Seahawks jersey than I would to find an Everton shirt - and I live in Kentucky.

Not to mention their fans being insufferable hipsters. If the internets to be a reliable source like.
They do like sawker though.

only american sport i like now is basketball

if i ever go over there im deffo going to buy tickets for a ball game

still don't know who my fav team is tho.

If you're going to adopt a team from Seattle, it should be the Sounders.

If you're going to adopt an NBA team, it should be the Bulls :)

Joakim Noah. Guy is a ****. He played for Florida in college, which is one of my team's (Kentucky) major rivals. They won two national titles while he was there, and I hate him with the heat of 1,000 suns. Yanick Noah, the tennis player, is his dad.
