Yep. Not really sure of this byyyt hey: He meets the requirements.... The Habs, Everton of NHL.Martin St Louis is now permanent coach of the Habs on a three year contract.
Well they still won't hire a non French speaking coach, despite going nearly thirty years without the cup. We just have to hope that St Louis is up to the job.Yep. Not really sure of this byyyt hey: He meets the requirements.... The Habs, Everton of NHL.
From '86, back then I played as a goalie. Blaming Roy for this.
As a Finn my bleu-blanc-rouge #11 jersey, with C and not "Koivu" on the back (played against him in juniors and man was I schooled a couple of times... eff Turku) is a collector's item. Kirk Müller, oh captain my captain.Well they still won't hire a non French speaking coach, despite going nearly thirty years without the cup. We just have to hope that St Louis is up to the job.
That’s a crazy stay. I remember the Flames during Iginlas years and some of their fans claiming conspiracy that the league wanted to keep the trophy out of Canada for some odd reason. Can’t believe it’s been so long. The Oilers are nearly dead and buried. It looks like Canadas wait for that Stanley Cup will extend into it's 30th year. The Bolts are in trouble against the Rangers as well.
I live in Calgary 89 since the Flames won their one and only Stanley cupThat’s a crazy stay. I remember the Flames during Iginlas years and some of their fans claiming conspiracy that the league wanted to keep the trophy out of Canada for some odd reason. Can’t believe it’s been so long.
Theo Fleury, Lanny MacDonald, Mike Vernon... The Flames should've won a couple of times more but the neighbours were a bit too tough team (crazy how many Hall of Famers were in that group. Plus Esa Tikkanen.)I live in Calgary 89 since the Flames won their one and only Stanley cup
I know that the exchange rates really hurt the Canadian teams for an extended period of timeThat’s a crazy stay. There's thirty two teams in the NHL, and seven of those teams are in Canada. So in terms of numbers the odds are stacked against Canada. That’s a crazy stay. In think both the Habs and Flames would have won more in the 80's, if it wasn't for the Oilers. The Oilers from 1984 to 1990, is still the NHLs most recent truly great and successful dynasty.Theo Fleury, Lanny MacDonald, Mike Vernon... Sure but that’s still 20% of the teams. All things being equal they should have about 6 cups in 30 yearsThere's thirty two teams in the NHL, and seven of those teams are in Canada. So in terms of numbers the odds are stacked against Canada.
The Flames in 2004, the Oilers in 2006, and Canucks in 2011 did go close to winning it though. Personally myself, i think they need to bring the Quebec Nordiques back.
