Nigeria Football team suspended from International Competition for 2 years

Don't know if I understand this strategy. You'd think preventing the team from playing & working together for the next two years would set the team back further, if anything.

Knee-jerk reaction. Poor decision.

No other way to get rid of their highly corrupt football federation and that is what this decision is most about.

Why would they do that? Didn't they just win the World Cup?

Is this the same guy who wanted the Nigerian national team to play behind closed doors for two years (that is, taken away from their clubs) to "prepare" for this World Cup? What a teet.

No, that is South Africa who wanted to do that.

And Nigeria are gonna get in trouble with FIFA (oooo, and get banned from playing....isn't that what they want??) if they actually implement this.

Yep. The punishment for not playing international footy for two years is a year ban from international footy.


I reckon that will make them back down.
