Would still rather have him than Kone. Ironically I think he would have flourished under Martinez as his touch is good and his movement in the box is. As Lukaku is showing its very difficult to be a centre forward at Everton because we give them scraps. I keep hearing he missed chance after chance. Never happened. We went through whole games sometimes using him for nothing except a distraction for Fellaini.

Utter gash? U sure u not thinking bout victor moysies favourite pet. Jelly went through a poor year with us but think bout the lone man up front under moysies dictatorship but he certainly wasn't gash. Finished some nice chances and he always has and always will slot goals for whoever he plays for. One against spurs last kick of game was deadly

Definitely utter gash. After his first 4 months he'd spend the whole game on his arse or offside. In Moyes' last season he made Victor look like a footballing god.

Doubt he'd have worked well under Martinez even given more chances, his preferred system seems to be to combine with a 2nd striker and Martinez has rarely used that formation for us.

As @Eric Djemba-Djemba says he spent a lot of time offside or moaning about being pushed off the ball. Some of that has reduced as he's gained confidence in his Hull move but he still does it far more than a top striker should.

Was better for all concerned that he moved to Hull. Whether we should have replaced him with Kone is a different issue.

He's a decent player and good luck to him. Jelavic needs games and we couldn't offer him that. There's no doubting we now have better players in Lukaku and Eto'o.

Kone so far has been a complete waste of money, we'd have been better off not signing anybody. He's been unlucky with his injury but in the games leading up to that the only thing i remember him doing was missing from 5 yards out. He's not started his everton career off well and it's going to be nigh on impossible for him to get back into the starting 11 with Lukaku and Eto'o in the squad.

He's lacking match fitness, sharpness and the only way he'll get that is by playing. If we drop Lukaku, Eto'o has to be next in line based on the season so far. I doubt Kone will even be used as a cup player seeing as we are out of the one cup you have to tinker with your lineup.

If this was the case then Martinez would've found a role for him and got him his place in Croatia XI. He's doing a good job for Hull and he would've been useful because we had and still have a striker shortage. He will always score goals, that's what he does. But he doesn't want to work harder than he has to and rightly so he shouldn't. Martinez expects more from his striker than to just be on the last man or to wait for delivery into the box. Martinez wants him to run the channels, create space for others and work tirelessly to distract opposition and open space.
