Because yes, everyone that wants to see a promising young player get a chance in the team is a "virgin" who plays video games...
Not what I was suggesting Mikey. The point I was making is that neither Vlasic or Lookman have been up to much at all in Royal Blue and neither particularly wants to be here and part of our squad.

Yet despite what little quality and consistency we have seen of them when they play for us there is a faction of the support adamant that they will go on to be world class.

I'm all in favour of shifting players who don't want to be here who think they're better than the club despite the fact that they haven't actually accomplished anything at all for us.

Lookman has been living off of that Man City goal for two years and Vlasic never even got started here.

Is this a side effect of having money? This is kinda new phenomenon to us Evertonians last few years. Selling players that have good promise but just don't fit into plans. Years ago players like Lookman or vlasic we'd be hanging onto them for dear life and it would take a big club to come in but now we seem to offloading this type of player.

I'm hoping it's a good sign of our ambition rather than us waisting talent.

I seriously hope you’re right. Otherwise we have just watched a very talented youngster who was good enough for the CL walk away without giving him a real shot. Hope that sell on fee is high as he might still go places!

How many people are actually doing that though?

Most of the pro Lookman and Vlasic brigade accept that neither are the finished products but see potential in them and would like them to have some more chances

....I think it’s more about players not being effective enough for selection by this manager. Another factor is players attitude, i get the impression Silva has doubts about both Vlasic and Lookman’s commitment.

It could be argued it’s the players who are not fulfilling their talent as opposed to the club. If the Manager isn’t using them, then they have to be moved on.

Can't wait for his West Ham move next summer for £30m, us getting £10m then completely ripping up the league for 3 games, blowing his ACL and people still moaning that he was class

This year? A lot less than last year after Lookman once again failed to make an impact and Vlasic went on loan for a sulk.

You had people all through the summer and beginning of last season talking about how Lookman was better than all of our other wingers and that Vlasic was good enough to play for us or even start.

Lookman got it a lot more than Vlasic but then Vlasic scored against Madrid and all of a sudden he was made out to be this amazing player despite him looking average at best and weak as piss the rest of the time when he did get his opportunities here.

I'm sure I could find plenty of quotes in the Richarlison or Bernard rumor threads questioning why we were signing wingers when we had Lookman ready to take the league by storm after he did well in Leipzig.

I do think he is on his way to becoming a top player and it’s sad to see him go. But he had the misfortune to arrive here when the toxicity of the club behind the scenes was noticeable enough to be commented upon by various observers,so it’s not surprising he never seems to have settled here.
He seems happy where he is so good luck to him , I have no ill will towards him.

I get that but something tellspecial me out of necessity. The Moyes era would have gotten a better tune out of these players.

....you can argue Moyes might have got more out of Vlasic than Silva, but that would be more about them as Managers as opposed to the set up of the club.
