MOTM of today match

no "10" in 4-2-3-1 formation

btw it was a interwiev with him in cro newspaper last week. Title: I am born again:D
few words about CSKA, Moscow, impessions.....etc
happy to play again (born again phrase)

and he is especially happy to play CENTERFIELD or MIDDLEFIELD not on the wing

I talked at the beginning of the (preseason) training with Everton coach Marco Silva, who openly told me he could not promise me a place among the first eleven.

Since I’d practically lost last season, I didn’t want to repeat something like that and Everton gave me permission to find the club where I would play

Actually quite glad to read these quotes after the "4 players forced to train away from first team" stuff over the summer! Think he could be really pushing for Siggy's starting spot next season if he keeps his current form up.

We need to stop blaming everything on Allardyce!

He was crap before Allardyce was here.

Deffo has potential but lets not pretend he was pulling up any trees before big mean Mr Allardyce came in and ruined him.

Same with Lookman.
Think that's just untrue. He looked, comfortably, like the best outfield player we signed under Koeman. Then he got sacked, Unsworth had a weird fetish for ONLY his players, then FSA came in and that's that. Maybe he wasn't a world beater under Koeman but he certainly wasn't crap.

Yeh agree here @Papa Shango - Vlasic didn't set the world alight, no, but in that September - October period he at least showed some drive and determination and flare.

Anyway, I don't think he is good enough right now although hopefully he proves us wrong this season and offers another option for us next year.

As much as I don't really rate Sigurdsson he was far better than Vlasic last year.

He has done zero in a blue shirt. Hasn't had a chance to do much to be fair either and I am in no way saying he is a bad player.

Allardyce didn't pick him because he didn't deserve to be picked and we needed to pick up points. I am just sick of people making excuses for players. No manager leaves out good players for the hell of it. He just didn't do enough to warrant inclusion last season.

He had a decent game against Cyprus' 7th best team.
