This. Van Dijk did well in Holland, Suarez did well in Holland. Players can only do well in the league the are playing in and cream will always rise to the top - lets hope this proves an important season in his development and he is back here perfoming next season

Not necessarily mate, it’s a level below England, Spain, Italy and Germany but it’s still a decent level. If he’s consistently performing, getting both goals and assists both domestically and in Europe then he’s clearly made a quantum leap from Split.
Reckon a decent team in Spain, Italy and Germany would take a punt on him.
On a personal note I think he looks a good player, I’d like to see him get another chance here. There’s question marks over his attitude towards the club but I’m willing to give him some slack as he came in at a very awful time for the club. Plus he was never getting a look in under Allardyce so I sympathise somewhat.
If you could keep Vlasic or have Golovin back which one would you want?

I don’t normally praise the young lads but this fella has something about him
He has the skill and the attitude plus the confidence ( although at times overrated and misplaced ) and I think given time he will be a hell of a player , but only in the right system
He won’t have the pressing or defensive capabilities if Siggy nor the lung capacity but in the right system , with the right players around him I think k he could be exceptional
Of all our young players I think he wil progress the most , and I mean of ALL our young players
...if he was thought of as Sigurdsson’s successor, it doesn’t explain why Silva had him and Mirallas training on their own.

No I think he has a lot of self belief and a lot of confidence , which as I stated is at times misplaced but the lad has belief in his own ability as do all great players
