He needs to settle into the club, learn what is needed of him and deliver that.
He certainly seems to be a talent but better players than him have had to show discipline and patience and he does too.

When he first came to the club I very much doubt that he expected to be involved so quickly in the first team.
In many ways it shows how badly things had slipped under RK.

If it’s true that there were no injury issues, when he was totally left out, then that tells me all I need to know about Unsworth. Vlasic has played really well and is a dangerous player. Unsworth is obviously going for the easier option of players he knows. That’s a real weakness. We lost a player to West Ham because of Unsworth doing this. He’s now in the first team picture at West Ham because someone trusts his talent.

Are you on about Holland?

I'm a big fan of Vlasic, think he looks a great talent and obviously hope that he hasn't fallen out with Unsworth or wants to jump ship because Koeman's been jettisoned into the sun.

That said, I don't know why people are so quick to jump to either side of the fence on this one. Unsworth has been in the job like 5 minutes so naturally has went for experience and those he knows well from the U23s. My guess is that we'll see Vlasic come back into the side once things have settled and he's had enough sessions with the current regime.

I hope hope hope they haven't fallen out and Unsworth was trying to play it a bit safe to start. Most of the noise has come from his agent and sister, which doesn't always tell the whole story (outspoken family members are known to be problematic in some instance, and his sister is exactly that).

A similar case study is Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans. His father was very adamant about him going to the Charlotte BobHornets. When he ended up in New Orleans, his dad was very outspoken about his love for Charlotte. If Anthony was on the bench for a game, his father would be outside the locker room chewing the staff out. For a while, people were very skeptical if he wanted to stay in NOLA because his father was really outspoken, and it is said that athletes speak through their relatives and/or agents. The reality was, he loved the city (surprising I know) and had no intentions of moving.

So my hope is that his charming sister is simply acting on her own and Niksi will be in next week. Don't break our balls Unsy.

He has been in the job only 5 mins as you say, but I bet he's watched the majority of our home games this season and all our games in Europe. He doesn't need time on the training ground to realise that vlasic has been one of the few successes this season. There is no explanation as to why he should have been left out.
