Nkounkou

I watched Nkounkou last week when he played left back for the U23s . He was distinctly average, I don’t remember a single thing he did well, none of those surging runs down the left with a dangerous cross at the end of it that we all saw in the few matches he’s played. In fact the Commentator had him down as at fault for the equalising goal. It wasn’t his mistake that led to the goal but he was up the pitch when it was given away and in the replays he’s just jogging back when the guy scores from from the right side of our box. He’s a super young player , we do need to ensure he develops further - my abiding worry is that we let him drift into another Luke Garbutt.

Aye, I've thought that for a while. At least he'll give you legs, and will run with the ball.

Instead we have crabs coming on from the bench.

thank u for reasonable dry crotch response buddy. hopefully others read this and stop tantrum solutions.

Because, if you look in the training videos, he's gash. Same as broadhead. I really want him to be good, I like him, but I honestly think he's got to smash people in training to get a go.
Many years ago I was priviliged through my profession to be welcomed regularly at Bellefield and to watch training sessions. One player who could have been termed "gash" during these sessions was one Duncan McKenzie.
Need I say any more? .

Some players are talented enough to train lazily, most aren't.

You want a 19 year old LB on the RW...I cannae breathe lol

It was just a suggestion. The modern way is to play wingers on the opposite side. Oviedo did it a few times a left back switched to RW. I understand he is only 19 but that means he has more scope for learning. Actually as an example we have done it in reverse in the u18s when we asked Liam Higgins a right footed left winger to switch to right back.
