Non League Football

Vauxhall are my local non-league side now. Chester not a million miles away.

It was fun, Cables, but alas.
If I can travel from Meols to Cables it’s not much further for you 😉, if you can drive to Vauxhall Motors it’s better than the trek from Little Sutton station ( as you probably already know ).

We're in Little Sutton now, but haven't even ventured to the station yet, we only moved in last week. Think its about a 5 mins drive to Vauxhall, so will probably do it... eventually.

One of my favourite away days. Great facilities, pitch, club house. Fans are lovely too and wished us all well on Easter Monday. Hope they come up in the playoffs.

Seconded.

Well, other than the walk to the station. Good little view from the bar, cheap ale, cheap food.

And gave the Purps a hiding on both fronts last time we played them in the league!

Can anyone find AFC Telford v Halesowen Town result in the play off tonight?

Sorry if you didn't already know.

Telford 3-2 Halesowen.

Halesowen led, them equalised with 5 mins to go, but conceded straight away.

Telford go on to face Kettering who beat Harborough 4-3 on pens, half the pens were missed.

Loads of last minute goals and drama tonight, including at Totton, which saw this crazy end. Yes that is Charlie Austin...

Cheers, I couldn't find it anywhere before I went to bed. That's a pity,

Kingstonian, who led the league at one point lost in the Isthmian South Central Division play off SF last night. Uxbridge 2 Kingstonian 2. Having led Kingstonian fell behind and only equalised on 90 + 10. No further score in ET and finally lost on penalties 5-4. Kingstonian have no ground of their own and haven't played in their own Borough for many years. Dwindling gates, anger and apathy combined with a (to put it mildly) unpopular Chairman, means this was a heroic effort from the players and staff.
Fun fact; Uxbridge have never been either promoted or relegated since 1985. True Dat.

How does promotion work? I guess the top teams of North, South Central and South East each go up to the premier?
